2nd Sept 2015
Visited 2 Bastide towns today.  We originally set off for Monpazier, which is one of France's prettiest villages only to discover another one on the way there, Belves.

One of the gated entrances to Monpazier.  Houses now build into the walls. Reminds us of Mirepoix near the midi- Pyrennes further south of Carcassone.

The big market square with Guy buying some life saving fruit there

typical little laneways.

and shopping streets.

Such a delight to visit thsee 2 villages.  On the way home we stopped at Campagne, where the chateau has now been renovated.

and the chocolate walnut tart to finish of the day! and well deserved aussi.
